Career Lowdowns For Lockdown

Wednesday 29th April 2020

Each week the HEPA team will be putting together career planning tips under various themes. These will be available on our Twitter account (@HeppSYplus) under the hashtag “#CareerLowdownsForLockdown”.

This week the theme ties in with National Gardening Week.

Gardening can still be done under lockdown and April is when the growing season really starts to get going. Birdsong, spring blossom and sunshine lift the heart. There are seeds to sow and seedlings to plant out. So whether you have a lush lawn with herbaceous borders or just a window ledge plant box, now is the time to get those green fingers grubby.

As for careers relating to gardening, there are plenty of opportunities in this particular ‘field’ (pardon the pun). Whether you’re a natural socialiser or an introvert, a creative type or a science geek, you’ll find a career you love. To succeed in any landscape job, you’ll need to be motivated by making the world a better place – for people and the environment.
